Questions people ask

Do I have to come to Israel to get the mortgage?

Not always. Much of the process can run remotely, and documents can often be signed at an Israeli consulate or by power of attorney. The adviser tells you what your bank needs in person.

Can I borrow more than 50%?

Not on an Israeli mortgage while you live abroad. The Bank of Israel caps loans to foreign residents at half the price.

Will Israeli banks accept my foreign income?

Yes. Expect to show payslips or tax returns and bank statements, translated where needed. Banks may count foreign income at a discount to allow for currency moves.

What does it cost?

Asking us and being introduced costs you nothing. Mortgage advisers in Israel are paid by you, not by the bank, so agree their fee in writing before they start. Before any introduction we tell you in writing whether we receive a referral fee.
