Questions people ask

Can rent count as income?

Often part of it can, especially with a signed lease. Banks treat it cautiously, and the adviser shows you how your bank will count it.

Can I borrow against my current home?

Usually yes, within the bank's limits for loans secured on a home you own. The adviser compares this with a standard mortgage on the new property.

Why is the limit 50%?

The Bank of Israel caps loans on additional properties at half the price, to limit risk in the housing market.

What does it cost?

Asking us and being introduced costs you nothing. Mortgage advisers in Israel are paid by you, not by the bank, so agree their fee in writing before they start. Before any introduction we tell you in writing whether we receive a referral fee.
